One of Broomfield’s greatest assets is its Open Space and Trails department which manages the city’s thousands of acres of open space. The city has more than 60 public parks, bike paths, jogging/walking paths, sports fields, playgrounds and tennis courts. It’s also located close to several public golf courses. The city also sponsors many public displays of art, outdoor concerts and many cultural activities which bring the community’s residents together in fun and entertaining settings. Broomfield Economy Broomfield is home to many high-tech, international corporations (such as Sun Microsystems and Level 3 Communications), but also supports many smaller, local businesses. No matter what the size, the Broomfield Economic Development Corporation is dedicated to helping all Broomfield businesses succeed. The Interlocken Business Park is located in Broomfield, which is where many large corporations are headquartered. Also within the city are many places to shop – such as the Flatiron Crossing Mall, Main Street at Flatiron and the Flatiron Marketplace. Not only are these shopping areas high-level and convenient for Broomfield residents, but they also draw individuals from outside of Broomfield. The sales tax that is collected from the stores within these shopping areas goes towards supporting Broomfield’s efforts to improve the city. Broomfield Real Estate
The City of Broomfield has seen tremendous growth since 1990, and currently has more than 50,000 residents. One of the draws of Broomfield is that the city is known to have very safe streets. It’s also close to shopping, outdoor recreation areas, and great public schools. There are many different types of neighborhoods in Broomfield. They range from apartment and condominium complexes to average-size single family homes to giant million dollar mansions. Due to the relatively quick expansion and residential development of Brighton over the past several years, the city council recently voted to limit the number of new homes built within the city limits to 300 per year for the foreseeable future. |
