Castle Rock

Castle Rock is a fast growing town, just like most of the communities that reside in Douglas County. As little as 25 years ago, Castle Rock was a very small community encompassing 33 square miles, but is now a substantial small city with lots of amenities, stores, restaurants and neighborhood developments.

Located between the City of Denver and the City of Colorado Springs, Castle Rock is the county seat of Douglas County. Interstate 25 is the major highway that runs through Castle Rock.

Castle Rock sponsors many public activities, maintains almost 500 acres of open space and parks, runs a community recreation center, and is home to several golf courses.

The city also sponsors many public displays of art, outdoor concerts and many cultural activities which bring the community’s residents together in fun and entertaining settings.

Many of Castle Rock’s residents drive to their jobs in the city of Denver or in the Denver Tech Center, which is located just south of the Denver city limits. Some even drive south to Colorado Springs for their employment. In town, there are several retail stores that provide employment, including the shops at the Castle Rock Outlet Mall. Some of the other large employers in Castle Rock are the town and county governments, restaurants, and DirecTV, which has a large office in the area.
