Greenwood Village

The City of Greenwood Village is located south of the City of Denver. The city is a little bit less than 8 square miles in size, and has a residential population of about 16,000 people. What was once a rural area in the 1950s, Greenwood Village has grown to a very desirable urban area with upscale homes, retail shops, restaurants, and office buildings.

There are more than 20 city-run parks in Greenwood Village including the very popular Westlands Park. The city also writes and distributes a monthly newsletter to all Greenwood Village residents’ homes. The newsletter is filled with community information, news, and a section dedicated specifically to children living in the city.

The racial makeup of Greenwood Village is 93.90% Caucasian, 3.12% Hispanic or Latino, 1.14% African American, 0.19% Native American, and 2.55% Asian.

Greenwood Village Economy

Portions of the Denver Technological Centers reside in Greenwood Village. The Denver Tech Center is an area where many office buildings exist and many technology-oriented businesses have their headquarters or large branch offices. The average population of Greenwood Village during business hours Monday-Friday normally rises to more than 70,000.

Some of the largest companies that have their headquarters in Greenwood Village are eBags.com, First Data Corporation, MDC, and Western Union.

The median income for a household in Greenwood Village is $116,147, the median income for a family is $145,802, the median income for males is $99,088, the median income for females is $41,991, and the per capita income for Greenwood Village residents is $69,189.
