City Overview
Littleton is a suburb of the City of Denver. It is a community with residential areas, shopping areas, and an historic downtown area. Littleton’s downtown is filled with tree-lined streets, Littleton’s governmental offices, boutiques, restaurants, and historic buildings.

According to the United States census, Littleton has a population of 40,340 people, 17,313 households, and 10,387 families. The racial makeup of the city is 91.77% Caucasian, 8.45% Hispanic or Latino, 1.16% African American, 0.73% Native American, 1.66% Asian, and 0.06% Pacific Islander.

The City of Littleton supports 26 neighborhood parks, several golf courses, a recreation center, and biking, hiking and walking paths. Another of Littleton’s assets is the public transportation system that travels through the city. Denver’s Regional Transportation District’s Light Rail provides an easy commute for Littleton residents to Denver’s downtown area.

Littleton Economy
Many independently-owned businesses and restaurants exist in Littleton as well as several large, prominent corporations. Three of the largest are Norgren, EchoStar and Lockheed Martin.

The median income for a household in Littleton is $50,583, the median income for a family is $64,671, the median income for males is $43,698, the median income for females is $33,37, and the per capita income for Littleton residents is $28,681. About 3.9% of families and 6.0% of the population are below the poverty Line, including 7.5% of those under age 18 and 5.1% of those age 65 or over.
